Common-area cleaning
Trash rooms and chutes
Trash rooms washed and bags carried out on the nights you pick, so the smell is gone before it reaches the hall.
Trash rooms are the zone residents notice first and managers hear about most. We clean them on their own schedule, separate from the halls.
On every scheduled visit
Sweep and wash the floor, drain to drain
Wipe bins, carts and chute doors
Tie bags and carry them to the dumpster or corral
Empty recycling bins into the building's containers
Wipe walls and door handles at hand height
Note overflow, leaks and damage in the log

- 02
Step 2: Bags out first
Full bags go to the dumpster before the floor is touched.
- 03
Step 3: Wash and dry
The floor is washed and squeegeed toward the drain, with a sign out.
- 04
Step 4: The supervisor signs

Questions
Three questions about this service
How often should a trash room be cleaned?
Most buildings pick two nights a week for rooms with a chute and one for small rooms. The walk-through settles it.
What if there is a smell between visits?
Call the office, or the night line after hours. We note it in the log and the supervisor looks at the room and tells the manager what they find.
Do you take the trash to the curb?
We carry bags to the building's dumpster or corral. The hauler's pickup stays with the building.
Does the trash room need its own schedule?
Walk the building with us and we write it as its own line.
