Questions
What property managers and boards ask
How do you decide the price?
Zone by zone, from the walk-through: the size of each zone, the floors and elevators, the visits a week and the nights. The written quote follows within three business days, one line per zone. See the plans page for four samples.
What happens at the walk-through, and how long does it take?
About an hour in the building with Irving Monroy or a supervisor. We measure the zones, list the keys and closets and ask who to call and in what order. There is no charge, and it starts no billing.
Does someone need to be there after the walk-through?
No. The crew lead holds a fob or key on the building's signed list and lets the crew in. Codes are never written on the crew's sheet. See the policies page.
Who cleans our building?
A named crew lead and a crew we try to keep the same from visit to visit, with a supervisor on top. We run a background check on crew members before they work alone in an occupied building; ask the office what it covers.
Are you insured, and can we see the certificate?
General liability insurance at $1M per occurrence and $2M aggregate, and workers' compensation. We send a certificate on request before the first visit; say if the building should be named as certificate holder.
What if something is missed, broken or missing?
Tell us by phone or email. We re-clean a missed area on the next visit, or sooner if you ask. For something broken or missing, we write it up with you that week, and our insurance responds if it applies.
What do you bring, and which products do you use?
Our own supplies and equipment. On high-touch surfaces we clean first, then disinfect with an EPA-registered product, used as its label directs. Fragrance-free products are available on request.
How does the inspection log work?
A supervisor walks each building at least once a week and signs the log. At the end of the month, one page for each building goes to the manager or board contact. See a sample on the inspection log page.
Who answers the night line, and does a night call cost more?
The night supervisor, Glenroy Skeete, or the supervisor on shift, every night from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. and all day on weekends. Calling costs nothing. A visit outside your plan is billed at the rate in your agreement, and we say it before anyone is sent.
Which areas do you serve, and can you start the same day?
Baltimore City and the counties around it; the service area page has the list and the places we don't go. We don't start a new building the same day: the first visit follows the walk-through and the quote. For buildings on a plan, the night line handles urgent spills.
Still have a question?
Call the office or send the form. We answer within one business day.
